Tell Us Your Story!

Welcome to The Old Guard Association (TOGA) Historian’s Corner.

A number of years ago, we requested  TOGA membership support to The Old Guard Museum in the form of photos, letters, orders, etc., featuring their service in TOG. Since the TOG Museum has now closed, we would like to continue this program by featuring TOGA members in the Historian's Corner section of the TOGA website as well as The Old Guard Association facebook site and the new Old Guard History facebook site maintained by Kirk Heflin, the former curator of The Old Guard Museum.  Kirk's hobby is to keep the history of The Old Guard alive through photos and personal accounts of service from our members.

If you wish to contribute any photos or any other memories of your Old Guard service, you may scan the information to me at petermcd1@comcast.net or by mail to 1195 Old County Road, Arnold, MD 21012. You may also send items to the following Facebook sites:

  • The Old Guard Association Facebook:  https://www.facebook.com/groups/theoldguardassociation/
  • The Old Guard Lounge:  https://www.facebook.com/groups/TheOldGuardLounge
  • Old Guard History:  www.facebook.com/OldGuardHistory

Hope to hear from all of you soon.

Pete McDermott

Historian, The Old Guard Association
